The lesson has started and you have questions for things you didn’t understand, new words, grammar etc. You feel a bit confused 🤔
What can you do?
First of all! Congratulations for making the effort to step out of your comfort zone! It is perfectly normal not to understand everything! Being aware of this is a big step that will help you tremendously in your language learning journey.
Second, what can you do after? Easy!
Here are some phrases to help you!
Key words: ερώτηση, ρωτάω, καταλαβαίνω, λέω, επαναλαμβάνω
•Μπορώ να / θέλω να / θα ήθελα να + ρωτήσω κάτι; = can I ask something? / May I ask something / I want to ask something / I would like to ask something
•Μπορώ να / θέλω να / θα ήθελα να + κάνω μια ερώτηση; = can I make a question (lit) = can I / may I have a question? / I want to / I would like to make a question
Για τους/τις πιο προχωρημένους/ες υπάρχει και αυτή η επιλογή:
… να ρωτήσω κάτι;
… να κάνω μια ερώτηση;
•Έχω μια ερώτηση… = I have a question…
•Δεν κατάλαβα = I didn’t understand
•Δεν καταλαβαίνω = I don’t understand
•Μπορείτε να το επαναλάβετε; Μπορείτε να το πείτε ξανά; = can you repeat? / can you say it again (lit)
•Πώς το λέμε / λένε / λέγεται + αυτό στα ελληνικά; = how do we call / do you say / is it called this in Greek?
•Πώς γράφεται; how do you spell it?
Εννοείται ότι σε όλες τις παραπάνω φράσεις μπορείς να προσθέσεις στην αρχή τη λέξη «συγγνώμη» = (excuse me) και να είσαι πιο ευγενικός-ή!
